The Unforgotten Piece

Offering Every Home that Perfect Piece
The Unforgotten Piece, opening November 6th at 4038 Broadway in the Town Center, offers delightful décor for a normal budget. Danielle Burcham is the owner, accompanied by her mother, Cherie Azbell. For a range of $5 to $400, customers can find charmingly rescued furniture and re-purposed items, suitable for hanging or another use. One dresser is transformed into a little girl’s dress-up cabinet, its drawers into pet beds. Custom pieces can be commissioned, and clients can hire Burcham and Azbell as consultants for decorating advice.
Azbell says she has always appointed her home this way, painting and up-cycling items for unique looks and innovative function, even before it was chic. Danielle developed her eye as she grew up. She began posting her creations on social media and “it (the business) just took off.”
The decorating duo has a presence on Etsy and on Facebook. Their brick and mortar hours are 12-6, Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday, 12-8 on Fridays. The shop is located near Grandstand Pizza, inside the same building as the Sommer House Gallery.
